🌍 Turning Ideas into Enterprise at Longfield! 🌍

Our pupils had an amazing time at Longfield Enterprise working alongside the Darlington Economic Campus! 🌍💡

They were split into teams, each representing a different country, with roles assigned just like in the real world. From teamwork to creative thinking, it was fantastic to see them working alongside local businesses to build and run their own enterprise.

So much learning, confidence building, and fun all in one day! 👏🚀

🌟 Year 10 Work Experience Week! 🌟

What a fantastic week for our Year 10 pupils, exploring work experience and discovering future career possibilities. 💼✨

We loved catching up with some of them at their placements! From primary schools to leisure centres, our pupils gained a real taste of the world of work.

A huge well done to all our pupils for making the most of this experience! 👏

If you’re a local business interested in offering a placement in the future, we’d love to hear from you by emailing enquiries@longfield.nalp.org.uk . Let’s give our pupils the best opportunities to explore their potential!

🌳💙Tree of Thanks 🌳💙

We recently created our very own Tree of Thanks at Longfield, where pupils could write little messages sharing what and who they’re thankful for.

The tree quickly filled with thoughtful notes for both staff and pupils, making it a beautiful way to celebrate the kindness and positive ethos of our school community.

Now proudly standing at the heart of the school, the Tree of Thanks is there for everyone to enjoy. If you’re next in school, be sure to stop by, it’s guaranteed to make you smile! 😊

On Friday, we were proud to host an Online Safety Forum with Lola McEvoy, MP for Darlington, bringing together secondary schools from across the borough.

Pupils from Years 7 and 10 shared their honest views on online safety, helping ensure that the voices of young people in Darlington are heard 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and spoke up. These conversations matter, and our pupils were a real credit to their schools and to young people across the town 👏✨

📣 More fantastic sporting success for this week…

⚽ Our Year 10 football team played Wyvern on Wednesday night and secured a 7-3 win 👌. Mr Tearney said the team demonstrated resilience and team work in very cold and wet circumstances, it was a PROUD performance. 🤩

🥅 Our Year 7 football team (pictured) played EV at home on Tuesday night. They won 10-1. WOW! 🥳 Mr Raw is so PROUD at their level of enthusiasm and said they had fantastic determination.

Well done to both teams for such fantastic scores, we love celebrating your effort and team work!
