As Headteacher, l am extremely proud to be serving the community of Longfield and the surrounding area. I have led four other schools, steering one to outstanding which led to me becoming a National Leader of Education, one from requires improvement to good, and another that became the highest achieving school in the county.

What a fantastic day for Team Longfield at the Town Sports last week!

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our pupils who represented Longfield on the day. As a school, we finished 4th overall โ€“ a fantastic achievement!

Alongside some outstanding individual performances, with several pupils winning multiple medals, we also celebrated some great team successes, with the Year 8 girls finishing 2nd overall and the Year 7 girls finishing 3rd overall.

Our pupils achieved an impressive medal haul:

๐Ÿฅ‡ 16 Gold Medals
๐Ÿฅˆ 10 Silver Medals
๐Ÿฅ‰ 3 Bronze Medals

A special mention must go to Victor in Year 8, who delivered an exceptional performance by breaking the Town Sports record in the 300m sprint โ€“ an incredible achievement!

Well done to everyone who took part and represented our school so brilliantly. You should all be extremely proud of your efforts. We look forward to building on this success next year and seeing what Team Longfield can achieve next. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŒโœจ World Dance Success! โœจ๐ŸŒ

What an incredible achievement for our Year 9 pupil, Maida, who recently competed at the World Dance Championships!

Maida and her trio delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 4th in the world out of 36 entries, missing out on a medal by just 0.8%.

We couldnโ€™t be prouder of Maida and her teammates. Their routine was strong, polished and full of confidence, showcasing the hard work, dedication and passion they have invested throughout their dance journey.

Although a medal was just out of reach, being ranked among the very best dancers in the world is an exceptional accomplishment and one that they should be incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to Maida and her trio on this fantastic result. Your commitment and determination have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing what you achieve next! โญ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

Thank you for visiting CPI. It was a real pleasure to spend time with you and the students from Longfield Academy. The group were an absolute credit to the school - exceptionally wellโ€‘behaved, enthusiastic, and wonderfully engaged throughout the visit. Their thoughtful questions and curiosity made the session enjoyable.

We discussed all subjects with the teachers. I can see the difference in the school over the past year since the new head has taken over.

I just wanted to say how great, adaptive and supportive Longfield School is... You took on a young person whoโ€™d spent a year at home and are progressively supporting them beyond our expectations. A huge thank you to the school!

I just wanted to contact you to say that my mum and I attended the pantomime on the 8th December at Darlington and we were seated with your school. Your pupils were so well behaved and polite. All pupils were great and a credit to your school.

Member of the Public

I was impressed with the open evening and wanted to pass on my positive feedback. My daughter is hoping to start in September 2024, and I can see the school is moving in the right direction. Complements to Mrs Sweeten and the staff.

The MacMillan Coffee Morning was terrific. I was impressed by the calmness of the school and professionalism of staff.
