School Communication and Payment Information

Arbor is our management information system (MIS), it’s where we hold most of our pupil data, including date of birth, address, medical information, contact information for their families, academic data, behaviour data and more.

It is also our primary method of communication. The system enables us to quickly message or email Primary Guardians of our pupils.

To help us communicate with parents / carers quickly and regularly, we must hold an up-to-date email address. When we send an email, it will go directly to your email account without a need for you to log into another site to see it. However, initially, you may find the email goes into your junk/spam or deleted folder. To resolve this, simply locate an email from us and ‘move’ this to your ‘inbox’ – this should mean that any future emails go directly into your inbox, so you don’t miss anything.

Arbor Parent Portal

When a child joins our school, you will also receive a ‘Welcome to Arbor’ email with details on how to register for the Parent Portal. The email looks like this:

The registration and sign in process is very easy. You can find information on this here: A quick introduction to Arbor for guardians and parents – Arbor Help Centre

Alternatively, if you need our help, please contact Mrs Rutter on T: 01325 348113 / enquiries@longfield.nalp.org.uk

It is essential that parents / carers sign up to the Parent Portal as this is how you’ll be able to monitor your child’s behaviour and progress. You will also be able to view their timetable (including any detentions) and any homework they have.

It will also allow you to:

  • Notify us if your child is going to be absent from school
  • Update your contact information
  • Provide updates on consent
  • View and register for afterschool enrichment clubs

Once you’ve registered and logged in, you can then download the free app from your app store and log in. This is the easiest and quickest way to view information on your child.

Arbor Student Portal

Your child will also receive a Welcome to the Arbor Student Portal email too (to their school email). They should set this up straight away so they can see their timetable, homework and behaviour points.

Iris Parentmail

Iris Parentmail is the system we use for payments, such as:

  • Dinner Money Top-Ups
  • Trip Payments
  • Ticket Purchases

When your child is enrolled, you will receive an email to register your account. Again, it is a very straight forward process however, if you need help, please contact reception on T: 01325 380815 / enquiries@longfield.nalp.org.uk

Class Charts

A lot of our parents / carers will be familiar with Class Charts however, we no longer use this platform. This information is all managed within Arbor and the Parent Portal / Student Portal.
